Am I ready to own a bunny? A lot of people think that taking care of a bunny is super easy...just throw it some veggies, give it a bowl of water, and let it stay in its cage all day while you are at work. no! exact opposite. Bunnies need quality pellets, hay and a certain amount of veggies. Pet bunnies need to have exercise at least twice a week and lots of attention and love. Visit our "bunny diet" page to see what a bunny needs for food.
This list of requirements will help decide whether you are ready or able to own a bunny or not.
Do you have a work schedule that will allow you to have a few hours to be around your bunny each day? And enough time to let it run around under supervision for exercise?
Are you willing to give your bunny quality pellets, hay and veggies?
Do you have someone who will take care of and play with your bunny when you are on vacations?
Are you willing to possibly spend 300$+ to get your bunny spayed/neutered to make it a good family pet?
Until you can answer "yes" to all of those questions, it would be best not to get a pet rabbit.
