Looking forward to warmer weather around here, but until then, we're busy trying to breed the does that are cooperative! I'm excited with the upcoming litters. . . hoping I'll get a few keepers! In 2020, we brought in a lot of new rabbits. . . anticipating that 2021 will be a year where we breed a lot of our own stock!
And, yes, new babies on the for sale page.

It's such a satisfaction have homegrowns in your barn! And another thing I love about homegrowns is that you get to see them at all their different stages. Love this doe right here. She isn't perfect, but her personality makes up for everything her body is lacking, haha! Below her, here is another example of how much growing juniors out is important. Time is everything!

On another note though, you do need to evaluate juniors around four months, and only keep the best to grow out. It can be a waste of time and money keeping Holland's with poor qualities for breeding. Breeders, Keep a picture of that perfect Holland in your head, and be picky about what stays in your barn!

Hey, I ain't too disappointed with how these two sibling grow outs have been coming along! They are out of HH's Kiwi and Misty Blue's Shiloh. The solid chocolate is a doe, and the broken is a buck. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna have to keep that little doe ;)
She had a foot problem when she was a baby, but that shouldn't hinder her at all. Also, we just added a new chocolate otter buck to our herd! Pictures are on the OUR BUNNIES page!

We've also had fun "landscaping" around the bunny barn lately in this lovely fall weather!

Added this cute little BEW buck to the herd last night. For only 4-5 months old he's not too bad! Liking him over the BEW buck I already had.
Went through the barn today and combed the molty rabbits, clipped nails, and took new pictures of rabbits that needed them. Mi was one of those. I'm impressed with how much better he gets with age!

New pictures on the BABIES page. These will be our fall babies!
And Shiloh has just finished his molt so I couldn't help pulling him out and grabbing a few photos! He looks so nice since he got rid of the old hair.

I can't believe I'll have to start using fall photo props! This summer has really flown by. While I enjoy the heat and sun, I think the bunnies are ready for some cooler weather. And I'm ready to be done with all their molting! Its mind boggling to me that it actually got down to 57 last night. That's usually just out of the planet for someone raised in Florida- I mean, that kind of temp might be in December??? Still havin' to get used to Tennessee weather :-D
Also, CLICK HERE to check out these cute little "bunny cupcakes"! They seem like a great way to give your rabbits treats- and they come in several different flavors.

AND here's a fun sneak peek of part of the crew that keeps our farm in function and order :-D

New little buck posted on the Brood Quality page.
New babies have been born! I was disappointed that Heidi had 2 DOA kits. I was so excited to see how pairing her with James would work out. Oh well. I re bred her with Bentley while we wait for James to recover more (we almost lost him due to an infection. So happy he made it. My new favorite antibiotic for rabbits is LA 200!)

Sunny's 2 adorable little babies are turning out to be a lovely orange- at first I had thought they were fox, but the black ticking seems to be fading. These two posed like this for as long as they were on the table- quite unusual for on-the-go 4 week olds. More pictures on the BABIES page.

Way too excited to have this guy in our herd now! Big thanks to Happy Hill Rabbitry and Southern Bleu Rabbitry for letting me have Ritchel's James.

Can I just say our barn is getting squeezed a bit more! New additions to the herd have come in, then most of the April 27th babies are in various weaning cages now, and will be going to their new homes next week!
Sunny kindled 2 babies a few days ago. Looking forward to seeing how they turn out!
Then Penelope did a complete fail as a mother to her 3 week old babies. Before we knew it, 3 were dead due to her not feeding them anymore- even tho she was given lots of supplements to help milk production. :-( So the goats come in handy again with their unfailing supply of milk! I've been dropper feeding the remaining babies. Goat milk never fails ;)
I'm taking advantage of this cooler day to take pictures of some rabbits added to our herd awhile ago. Some I've kept back for awhile before showing you guys, but I'm happy to see how they are beginning to turn out. If I can ever get a point across to you guys on deciding whether to keep a rabbit is wait, grow, wait, grow! Holland Lops are not fully mature till 6 months old, and even then they will keep slowly growing till 10 months or so! They change so much. I've had rabbits that I thought weren't very nice when they were younger but decided to grow them out to 6 months, and they look like completely different rabbits!
Go to the OUR DOES and OUR BUCKS pages to see the new additions!
Big thank you goes to breeders who have let me get some nice rabbits! I'm excited to see what they'll do for us!

Penelope kindled 5 healthy babies on the 19th! Gotta love your good ole' brood does ;)
New additions to the herd have been arriving! We've been happy to get some nice does from Cranberry Trail Rabbitry, Fraine Farm Rabbitry, and other amazing breeders. Next additions will be a couple chocolate does from Michigan :)
Today's a warm sunny day and I'm out pressure washing cages!
